Madison is located in south central Wisconsin inside a triangle formed by Chicago, Milwaukee, and Minneapolis. .

Dane County Regional Airport, located minutes from downtown Madison, offers more than 75 daily flights. Airlines that serve the Madison area include Comair, Delta Connection, Midwest Express / Skyway, Northwest airlines, TWE, and United.

Madison is also accessible via major highways from Chicago, Milwaukee, and Minneapolis. It is about a 1-1/2 hour drive from Milwaukee (via I-94), 2-1/2 hour drive from Chicago (via I-90), and a 4-1/2 hour drive from Minneapolis/St. Paul (via I-94).
